CNS Mumbai, has been offering IB Diploma since 2020, with Cambridge from Early Years through IGCSE. The school was built around inquiry-led learning, never retrofitted into it.

Let us clear that up.
It is the first question every Mumbai parent asks us. The IBDP is rigorous,
but it is different, not harder.
Myth #1
Everything rests on one brutal final exam.
Reality: Assessment is spread across two full years. Essays, orals, projects and internal assessments contribute a substantial share of the grade in most subjects. Students build their score steadily, rather than staking everything on a single fortnight of board exams.

It is only for exceptionally gifted students.
Reality: Students take three subjects at Higher Level, chosen from their strengths, and three at Standard Level. The programme shapes itself around the student, not the other way around.

Students are left alone to manage the Extended Essay and TOK.
Reality: At CNS, every student works with a dedicated Extended Essay Mentor, Theory of Knowledge Guide, with clear milestones across eighteen months. Nothing is left to the final term.

It is harder than CBSE or ICSE.
Reality: It asks for understanding rather than memorisation. Students who find rote learning exhausting often find the IBDP easier, because coursework, discussion and research suit the way they naturally learn.

A 100-hour course on how we know what we know, assessed through an essay and an exhibition, and taught by a specialist rather than folded into advisory.
Extended Essay (EE)
A 4,000-word independent research paper, mentored one-on-one by a faculty supervisor from topic selection to submission.
Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
An eighteen-month portfolio of experiences across three strands. It is the component universities most often cite as the IB difference.

Questions Mumbai parents ask before the first call.
Is the IBDP recognised by Indian universities?
Yes. The Association of Indian Universities recognises the Diploma as equivalent to Class 12. IBDP students join Krea, Ashoka, NMIMS, Bits Pilani and Indias leading private universities, and remain eligible for NEET and JEE pathways with the prescribed subjects.
What support does CNS provide for university counselling and college applications?
The school has a dedicated Academic Guidance Counselling team & provides complete guidance for university applications, counselling, and visa processing. 100% of students are placed with 95% joining university of their choice.
Is the IBDP much harder than CBSE or ICSE?
It is different, not harder: continuous assessment across two years instead of one final board exam, with subjects levelled to each student's strengths. Worldwide, about 80% of students earn the Diploma. At CNS Mumbai, 100% students have been receiving their Diploma since the first batch.
Does my child need an IGCSE background?
No. We accept students from CBSE, ICSE, MYP, IGCSE or any curriculum, subject to the aptitude assessment and interview.
What is the fee?
The fee structure, installment options and the Chairmans Scholarship are shared in full during your counsellor call. No surprises: everything in writing before you decide.
When do admissions close?
Founding-batch admissions for AY 2027–28 remain open until 31st December 2027, on a rolling basis. Early applicants receive preference for Higher Level subject choices.
